Rusco® Window Security Screens add a physical barrier to your weakest points of entry ( ground-floor and low-story windows) without turning the building into a cage. Engineered to blend in with the structure's exterior rather than announce themselves like burglar bars, they let light and air through while keeping intruders out. Every screen is custom made to the opening; Rusco doesn't believe in the word "standard."
Tested and certified to ANSI SMA 6001-2002, and built from marine-grade stainless steel mesh in place of residential fibreglass cloth, these screens are engineered for HUD affordable housing, military housing, colleges, general contractors, non-profits, apartment/condo complexes, senior housing, multi-family housing, and commercial/public buildings, anywhere a spec writer needs documented, code-compliant protection that still passes as an emergency exit.
Every model is tested and certified to ANSI SMA 6001-2002 performance specifications, backed by over 85 years of manufacturing experience.

LIGHT DUTY
.023" wire mesh, for upper-story windows where forced entry isn't a practical concern
MEDIUM DUTY
.028" high-tensile wire mesh, for second-floor and similar openings where entry deterrence matters (Model 4300)
HEAVY DUTY
.028" high-tensile wire mesh with .032" frame steel available for high-risk security areas (Model 4400)

Configuration & hardware options
Every Rusco window screen can be built with:
- Sub-frame, top-hinge, side-hinge, or center-hinge mounting
- Fixed (non-operable) or operable configurations
- Torx Tec tamper-proof screws
- Mounting/aesthetic angles for openings that aren't perfectly square
- Barrel bolts or key cam locks
- Single-point release (keyless egress release system)
- Continuous stainless steel piano hinge on operable models
- Single, double, or triple window screen configurations
- Custom sizing for any opening. At Rusco we doesn't use the word "standard"
Finished in 40+ durable electrostatically applied polyester powder coat colours, baked on for years of fade resistance; custom colours available on request.
